|
Communicate accurate hiring needs It has to be accurate…if your needs are wrong then everything else will be as well. Communicate current open positions Keep your staff in the loop…communicate open positions during shift meetings Marketing Materials- keep them stocked! • Now Hiring Flyers - emailed to print and hang • Referral Flyers – emailed to print and hang Be Prepared for… The Pay Rate Conundrum Speak to Brian Johnson for market pay information. Walk-ins and Call-ins Make yourself available…and meet with walk-Ins…have them review the job description on their phone while waiting. Everything our current and future team members experience in the workplace creates an impression. Failing to warmly greet a potential employee as they enter the community is a withdrawal from employee engagement. For all call ins…make sure to direct them to milestonecareers.com to apply Social Media…Leverage it! Get Staff Members involved…ask all staff members to share job opportunities on their social media. Referrals If your hospital has a referral program, consider having flyers made. If you aren’t sure if you have a program, or if you do and you want to have flyers made, speak with Brian Johnson. NEW HIRES - The early bird gets the worm…the first two weeks is the best time to ask your new hire for a referral because they just left friends behind at their last job. Put them at ease…it’s not up to them to qualify the referral. That is your job. Remind them of this so they do not feel nervous about referring. What bonus? ...don’t leave your staff hanging…keep them informed about any referral bonus being offered. Broadcast it! ...announce regularly, post recruiting and referral flyers. Turn references into hires…by asking them if they’re interested Once finished with the reference call, simply inquire if they would be interested in working at Oceans. |
